Two cool posters. Of two legendary characters. Played by two great actors. : )

Yuen Woo Ping who is known for The Drunen Master, and Iron Monkey embarks on another kung fu film. Not much is known about the film. The main characters is the legendary martial arts folk hero Su Qi-er Begger Su. Woo Ping is know for his complex and acrobatic fighting choreography. Most americans would have seen his work in the Matrix Trilogy.

1. Metal Gear Solid is now available from the PSN. If you don’t have the original PS1 CD it’s a must have for the collection.

2. Capcoms shelves Breath of Fire series. Don’t look for this RPG franchise to get a next gen over haul anytime soon.

3. Microsoft has been doing a lot of talking lately. And really not saying much. The company is set to release new hardware in 2010. Everyone is speculating that it may be a new X Box. We all know Natal is coming out. But they deliberately didn’t give a release date. Why don’t they just stop. Tell the truth and shame the devil!!! Tell us what it is and when it will be coming out. Really, most gamers are going to buy it anyway. That’s what we do. The rumors, and misinterpreted conversations are for children. Business is business. Announce it and get it over with.
Also Microsoft will giving the X Box 360 Arcade a 512MB internal hard drive. Hurray………

Caution: Watch those downloads on your 360. A massive amount of problems coming from down loaded demos, trailers ect. May cause the three rings of death.

4. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has stated that Sony may lose their support if the price does not drop on the PS3. This includes support for both PSP, and PS3. These guys at Activision are losing there minds.

5. MadCatz Street Fighter 4 fighting sticks are or soon will be available again. The back orders are FINALLY being filled. That sucks for some of us. We’ve already traded Street Fighter 4 in. If you still have it. Grab a arcade stick, before they disappear again.

God of War is looking to be one of the greatest games coming in2010. Sony is going to deliver a solid exclusive next spring. We’ve all been waiting for something to feast our eyes upon. The demo during the E3 conference was cut short. Now G4 TV has gotten their hands on it. And look. They are so nice to share with us. Hopefully soon, Sony will release another official trailer with game play as well as cut scenes. Until then enjoy this footage. The first three videos are with commentary. The last video is the demo straight through no interruptions. God of War 3 will be unleashed March 2010.

There really hasn’t been a good disaster movie since The Day After Tomorrow. 2012 gives us a something no other disaster movie ever has. Truly the end of the world. No meteor. No sudden weather anomaly. Nothing so clever as that. Our time is just up. It would all seem to be just so perfectly finale. So why do I get the feeling that John Cusack is not going to die. If he did, the movie will be exactly what they hyped it up to be. The End.  Directed by Roland Emmerich. 2012 opens on November 12,2009. Check it out.

Many of you are too young to appreciate some of the good that comes from history. Allow me to share a bit of my past with you. Back in the days when American cartoons were the greatest. We had a show named G.I. Joe. This was one of the best cartoons of the 80′s. During that time Marvel even had comic for it. There were tons of action figures. The vehicles and other accessories were numerous and so enjoyable. Fan favorites like Snake Eyes, Zartan, The Crimson Commandos, and Serpentor had parents clamoring through Toys “R” Us. This was the only show that had a specialist for everything. A child’s dream come true. No matter what you thought was cool. There was a Joe that did it. After every episode there would be a little lesson taught. Telling us not to swim right after eating. Or showing how to put out a fire in the house. They would say, “Now you know.And knowing is half the battle.” Well knowing is half the battle. With new G.I, Joe cartoons. Comic books. And now a motion picture. People seem skeptical of what G.I. Joe is all about. Don’t mix it up with other summer blockbusters. This is all about over the top fun. And the crazy characters. Take a look at the Comic books. Old and new. The different Cartoons that have been made. Or even the toys. They tell a story all there own. After reviewing some of these things, maybe you’ll feel differently about the G.I. Joe movie. And even if you don’t. “Now you know. And knowing is half the battle. G.I. Joe the Rise of Cobra opens on August 7, 2009.

The last trailer for this dynamic looking CG film. 9 is going to be the first great movie of the fall. Watching a movie such as this just inspires me to create. It will be a wonder to see at the movies, but I truly want to watch it on blu-ray. Opening 9/9/09.

As hand held gaming goes, we all know that the DS rules. But personally that system is catered to kids and more casual gamers. The psp is favored by older fellows such as myself. The problem being the lack of software for the system. With the psp go coming in October, you would think that Sony will finally bring a strong library to the hand held. Let us pray. Since the psp doesn’t require the learning curve to develop for, like it’s big brother PS3. There should be a ton stellar of titles for it. How often does the DS come out with a Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, or even Ninja Gaiden. And the Sony fans are left wondering what happened. Series such as The Breath of Fire, Strider, Shinobi, Parasite Eve (which is coming to the psp) and various other games haven’t even made an appearance. You have to look at your competition. Nintendo digs into the archives and does a remake. What is going on at Sony?!? The PS1 has a great library. Get with some of these publishers and make something work. Give them free dev kits, and help with production costs. You never get something for nothing. WORK. WITH. THE. DEVELOPERS. Show them that making games for the psp is in their best interest. Take a look at some of these games. Remakes or new additions to some of these old franchises is just what the psp needs.

This is just a small sample of what could be brought to the psp. You can throw a million puzzle game on the machine. Such as Zuma, Bejeweled, and Atomica. With the scope of games broadened, the more people you will have buying psp’s.

PSP-3000:

Sony is pushing the psp-3000 with new bundles that will hit the market soon. The Dissidia Final Fantasy bundle hits stores on August 25th. And a lilac Hanna Montana psp. The Dissidia seems to be a good idea. But if you don’t have daughters and more girlie games for the psp the lilac psp may not move. Although my oldest daughter is a gadget girl. She may ask for it.

Other PSP Bundles:

In the recent past and now Sony has had quite a few bundle packs for this hand held. All of them very different. And each one having a varying point of success. Here is a look at some of the better ones.

For anyone that loves Madden and hates to stop playing. This is for you. I  myself don’t care for sports. But the blue psp and these little extra’s are a nice touch.

I believe we have one of the more popular and newer bundles here. Rock Band is so huge.  Someone is definitely going to get caught up this. And for Jack Black fans you get the School of Rock movie.

Now this is a good start. You have the system packed with an awesome game. But no real extras. How about an Aliens 2 umd, a 8GB memory stick, and a Resistance decal on the psp.

The perfect package. System. Game. Movie. Memory stick. And look at that. A voucher for Everyday Shooter download. Quite the deal.

Hey, it’s God of War and Superbad. You get the most violent psp game. And the funniest movie. All with a red psp and Kratos’ face on the back in white.

PSP Go!:

With a 16GB hard drive and no umd slot, can the psp go, sell? As of now we only know of one game being released along side this smaller and lighter version of the psp. It will set you back 249.99. And it arrives October 1st. Here are a few videos that look more closely at Sony’s new baby.

Rockstar brings Max Payne 3 to us this winter. The rogue cop shoot im’ up returns. And it looks quite different from it’s predecessors. If you thought the original Max was gritty. This one is low down and dirty. You’re going to love him. There isn’t an official trailer out. Or even good pics. I’m going get a scanner for you guys. But what I do have is this. Some low-res pics I took from the new Game Informer. When hi-res pics are available I’ll be sure to replace these.

Another publisher is feeling the Crazed Cop theme. This title seems more similar to the first two Max Payne games. But it takes on a comic book, anime feel. Like the anime Classic Wicked City. And the Stranglehold game. Take a peek at the first teaser trailer.

Necessary Force:

For you older fellows out there (Those thirty somethings my age). PSN has another gem from the final Fantasy franchise. Very soon Final Fantasy Tactics will be available to download to your PS3′s. Some of us don’t have the systems that are backward compatible or just don’t have these games anymore. I wonder if Sony will ever have PS2 games on PSN. Well I guess they have to make a strong library for PS1 games.
