HD God of War Collection
![]()
Even though its new $299 slim model has drawn praise from cash-strapped consumers, the PlayStation 3′s lack of backward compatibility remains a contentious issue. Today, though, Sony announced that two of the most popular PlayStation 2 games will be playable on its younger sibling, courtesy of a Blu-ray rerelease of God of War and God of War II.

Due this holiday for $39.99, the God of War Collection will feature both fantasy-action titles, which were developed at Sony’s Santa Monica studio. The games’ critically praised graphics will receive a high-definition upgrade, running in anti-aliased 1280×720 resolution at 60 frames per second. The remastering is being handled by Bluepoint Games, the Austin, Texas-based developer behind Blast Factor, and will add PlayStation Network Trophies to both games.
FF XIII Lightning and Odin, Plus…
These scans are much more clear. Smaller, but they give better detail. As well as Lightning and Odin. The other scans shown are of Jihl Nabaat, and Yaag Rosch. You may be sick and tired of it. But it’s prettier pics of maybe the best game of 2009, 2010. As a Final Fantasy Fan, it must be done. I’d do the same for Kratos. : )

Trailer for AGORA
I saw this trailer, and I was so happy to behold a real film. Movies such as this are rarely made. And even more rarely seen and beheld as the great films that they are. Behold AGORA.
Assassins Creed 2 Director Interview
![]()
There really is something to a game that the closer it gets to release the more excited you get about it. Assassins Creed 2 is just that game. The more it’s talked about. The more that is shown that can be done in the game. The more I want it. This has got to be up for Game of the Year. For Assassins Creed 2 no demo is required. This is a must buy, on the first day. And we will be getting the Master Assassin Edition.
Dark Void Hover Up Ability Walkthrough
Yet another great title that is coming to us in early 2010. A Rocketeer shooter. This will surly be a new gimmick. From the beginning I thought this game was cool. I was a bit annoyed that it got pushed back. But it gives me more time to save more money for these games. Take a look.
The Console Wars: Official Price Drop For Xbox Elite
I got this small piece os news from gamespot.com. I’ll just insert it below.
Following months of rumors and weeks of retail leaks, Microsoft has made it official. Starting Friday, August 28, the 120GB Xbox 360 Elite will only cost $299.99, down from its current $399.99 price point. The new model will remain largely the same as the previous configuration, other than the fact that, as indicated by the matte-black console’s new retail packaging, it will no longer be bundled with an HDMI cable. “We have found that many Xbox 360 customers were not using the HD cables included in the Xbox 360 Elite box, so we removed them,” said a Microsoft rep.
Also, as rumored, the 60GB Xbox 360 Pro is being “phased out” at a $249.99 price point, down from $299.99. “It’s being put to bed,” Xbox 360 and Xbox Live director of product management Aaron Greenberg told GameSpot. The executive believes stocks of the Pro, which will be the last white 360 with a hard drive packed in, should last until just after the holidays. ![]()
End insert.
With this news, the playing field for the next gen console wars have been leveled. Now that Sony and Microsoft top line machines are the same price, it’s totally up to perks and software. I have both consoles, but I’m a Sony guy all the way. Personally it seems that all Microsoft has over Sony is Live. Although from person to person more Americans prefer the Xbox. No one has a really substantial reason for this. “Xbox is just better”. What kind of answer is that? The true reasoning behind this thinking is culture. Americans want something American. People can say no all day. But at the end of the day Xbox fans don’t have an argument for why the 360 is better. Price is not an issue any more. Mostly all the games come out for both systems. Exclusives that are praise worthy usually don’t number over a dozen a year.
Personal taste aside, there are many factors that make a game good. I don’t have to like a a certain title for that game to be good. The game might be great, but I just might suck at it. More gore and violence doesn’t nessasarly make a game better. Content. Story. Graphics. And game play. All of these thing go into account to make a good game.

All and all people will play what they feel comfortable with. If that means missing out on Uncharted. Or not being aable to play Splinter Cell. Then some people will do it. Then you have the gamers that will get nearly every game. They just gotta have it. And those gamers like myself. I’ll get the other console because I know that one title that I just must have. Then you get a feel for the machine, and start to buy more games for it. I’m an equal opprtunity gamer. I like to switch it up a bit. Be a little fair. There are times that you can’t. Sony has some nice Exclusives this year. Uncharted 2 and the new Ratchet and Clank are must buys. So I’ll get Assassins Creed 2 and Lost Planet 2 for the 360. Well that’s just an example. There are just way too many games droping inthe next 3 months to even start that. Well what ever you choose, play what you love and love what you play.
Fall Preview For V
I don’t know to many people that remember the original series of V from the 80′s. For me though, it was one of those shows that help define what I think sci fi should be. Truthfully I wasn’t even old enough to watch it. But my parents were a little easy going when it came to my sci fi obsession. The earths first contact with aliens. And we embrace them totally. A human girl gets knocked up by one of the very “human” looking aliens. Of course there’s a big rebellion. And the surprise of the whole show………Can’t tell you. You’ll have to watch this new one. If it is anything similar to the original, you’ll love it. Well that is if you’re into Sci Fi. V starts November 3, at 8pm on ABC.
