The scoop on Sin City 2 and Hard Boiled.
Producer Stephen L’Heureux recently talked to Comics2Film about Sin City 2 and Hard Boiled. L’Heureux said that the Sin City sequel will go into production towards the end of 2010, and will be based on a script by Frank Miller, who will co-direct again with Robert Rodriguez. The producer also spoke of a screenplay Miller is working on for him and Geof Darrow’s ‘Hard Boiled’. The comic centers around an insurance investigator who becomes a cyborg assassin. He said that they are also in talks for Sin City 3. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, Frank. After The Spirit, aka Sin City remix, we should take some time to cool our heels and reassess some things.
It seems quite a few people online are wondering if this will effect the Wolverine sequel, which is said to be chiefly inspired by the works of Miller and Claremont, and the follow up to 300. 600? Calm down everyone, the book isn’t written yet, we can wait on that! Although, like everyone else, I wouldn’t mind seeing Ronin brought to life sometime soon–cue the CGI.
I think that as long as Robert Rodriguez takes control, and Miller sticks to concepts and creative consulting, Sin City should shape up just fine. Let the finger crossing commence!

Powerful Film Making: James Cameron’s AVATAR
![]()
There have been very few MUST SEE movies this year. James Cameron’s Avatar happens to one of those you must see. Very few movies goers are true fans of film. Am I one? Not yet. But I do understand that it takes many elements to create a great film. I know , I know, we all have our own views on what movis are good. And we all have hae our favorite genre. I am not speaking about that. This is a article about film as a whole. Cameron just was the catalyst.
A film such as Avatar would seem to only cater to fantasy or sci fi fans. But it’s not. An awesome film is only as good as the parts that make it up. A truly strong story. One that would make someone read the book after seeing the movie. A real director. No disrespect to anyone out there. If you are given 200 million dollars and you choke, whose fault is that. A director should be able to execute his vision to perfection. The actors bring that story to life through the vision of the director. The score of the film drives the movie and lends emotion to it all. With a good editor, a film created as I have written, will be the hallmark of movies. And that would be regardless of the genre. Has anyone you seen Australia? An incredible film. Will anyone reading this go see Amelia, with Hilary Swank and Richard Gere? Make no mistake it will be one of the best films of 2009.
Sometimes we have to look to the things we would generally turn away from to find better entertainment. Read more instead of only watching TV. Watch a different type of show. And not only because your better half asks you too. Even though that is the reason most of us do it. Indulge in different cultures. Foreign films, cartoons, and books will open your mind to another format. You’ll see everything differently. Trust me. If my wife would never have made me take her into the book store before going to the movies, I may not be writing this now. So much is out there hat we just ignore, because it SEEMS dull. Try something different. Who knows…You may actually enjoy it. Now stop skulking and watch this new trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar. It will blow you away.
Casting Odin For Thor Movie
It is said that the most coveted role in Marvels Thor has been cast. This is not 100% confirmed, but hey I’m running with it. Anthony Hopkins is said to be in talks to portray the father of Thor, Odin. Anthony Hopkins can be seen in Joe Johnston’s upcoming Wolfman. Which is a little cool. Joe Johnston’s next film will be The First Avenger Captain America. Hopkins is an excellent choice.

24 Season 8 Preview

If you are one of those hard to please TV people, this is what you’ve been waiting for. Seriously I don’t believe there is anything on television that can stand close to this show. Fringe always comes in second. But Jack Bauer will always be the best. And we all I can say is New York will never be the same when he is done. 24 returns January 17, 2010.
Invictus Trailer
Maybe I am starting to show my age. But movies like this are so rarely made that I must seek to comment on them. An awesome director and two great actors. A true story. And Hollywood truly behind it. What is not to love. With that said, this film doesn’t envove master conspiracies, gun fights and explosions. Although my DVD library has many of those in it. This film will make you think. Make you feel. And it may even make a few people cry. As I said. Not many movies are made like this.

From director Clint Eastwood, “Invictus” tells the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team, Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon), to help unite their country. Newly elected President Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid. Believing he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport, Mandela rallies South Africa’s underdog rugby team as they make an unlikely run to the 1995 World Cup Championship match.

Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain Delayed!
![]()
Although the original release date was slated for October 26th, the first person, dungeon crawling RPG has been pushed back until November 25th. The game, which is for the Nintendo DS, has received quite a bit of buzz and a few comparissons to Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Perhaps this is why Big Blue Bubble and Aspyr have delayed it. After all, they now have a lot to live up to. Who wouldn’t want that world in the palm of their hands? It’s always sad when you go to the store to pick up an anticipated game and find out you have longer to wait, but the momentary disappointment is always worth it if it means the extra tweaking betters the experience. We all want our entertainment at its peak potential. Looks like it will be about a month until a hands-on review, so here are some screenshots and a gameplay trailer to tide you over. —ExSleepyInk
