Sneak Peak At The Whedon’s Dr.Horrible TPB

Any fans of Joss Whedon’s emmy award winning webseries Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog–which featured Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day–should be trembling with anticipation for this collection of stories written by his brother Zack Whedon (Deadwood, Fringe). The book sets out to reveal the unaswered questions, such as: What made Dr. Horrible decide on becoming the worlds best criminal mastermind?  How do you, the faithful reader, become more like Captain Hammer?  Why is God’s name is Penny still single???  And how did Horrible’s friend Moist get so…well…moist?  Below is a glimpse into a brand new sixteen-page story that gets you a seat at the table with The Evil League Of Evil!  The trade (with art by Joelle Jones, Jim Rugg, Farel Dalrymple and Eric Canete) will be released by Dark Horse Comics on September 1st.  If it is as awesome and funny as the webseries was, you’re in for a treat!  Now we just need a sequel with a reanimated Franken-Penny..

(Joss Whedon is the creator and co-creator of such properties as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, FireFly and Dollhouse.  He was also an acclaimed writer on Astonishing X-Men and recently returned to the Marvel fold as the director of The Avengers movie) —ExSleepyInk

Nothing Is Ever Easy. But Achieving Something Good Never Is.

This has been one of those weeks that goes down in the history books. Multiple crashes on the site. Lost of hosting. And just every technical hiccup out there. From Heroes To Icons was nearly at it’s end. Thankfully we have given it another try. We apologize for all the inconveniences you have suffered these few days. I personally am going to try to make things more accessible to all that follow us. Things will be better. We are looking to have a site with no more unnecessary hiccups and crashes. Currently we ask for your patience. The site will continue to undergo work to make sure it stays up to standards. I really don’t like to give up. And we are having to good of a time here.

I hope you are enjoying the new look of the site. This entire construction was made to give FHTI a broader fan base. And also to show everyone that there is so much out here that is fun, exciting and cool. We are going to have some really awesome things going on here. So keep you’re eyes open. And again we apologize for the delays and set backs. As a famous wizard named Zedd once said, “Nothing is ever easy”. And with that we have to go find some more goodies to post up. We’re going to ride this wave until we hit the beach hard. So look for us to be around for a bit longer. Now get ready for the next surprise.

THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT

From Heroes To Icons

There is something in all of us, that reaches for the “All Powerful”. The Legendary. The Heroic. Hero worship in all it’s various forms has always been a part of our society. For every race. For every age. For every culture. We all have our favorites. And we have all at one time wished of being one our selves. It doesn’t matter where you come from. What language you speak. Or how old you are. From the beginning of story telling in caves, there have been heroes.

Over here at From Heroes To Icons,we only want to have fun. To allow your imaginations to run free. To enjoy hero worship in all it’s glory. Here you can be who you really are. Love all those geeky, nerdy things that you know you love. You’re sitting in front of a computer. No one can bother us about our hobbies now. Sit back. Relax. Do you like super heroes? Cool! Do you like cartoons and anime? Great! Are you addicted to video games? Fantastic. All that and more is here and right at your finger tips. We the crew at FHTI are here to let you know about all that and more. All the things that keep us Old guys young. Super Heroes. Action Heroes. And we can’t forget any guys favorite. Heroines.

We are not building articles at this site to offend anyone. It’s all good clean fun. It’s for EVERYONE. Yes, including me. FHTI is made by the people. For the people. Just us non profit guys having a good old time, hashing it out about thew things we love the most. HEROES. Everything we post is for the knowledge and enjoyment of the different things we blog about. We let you know how it really is. We don’t do this because we’re paid for it. We don’t get paid for it. We do it, because we love it.

All my life I’ve been fascinated with nearly every type of adventuring hero. Old school stuff like, Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts, Zorro and the Lone Ranger. Super heroes such as Spider-Man, Hulk, Batman and the Justice League. Video game characters; Samus from Metroid, Nathan Hale of Resistance and all the great characters of the Final Fantasy series. As I broaden my scope for entertainment, I discovered the wonder of martial arts films and anime. Following the adventures of Wing Chun and Ip Man. Watching young heroes fight for family and justice. The Elric brothers of Fullmetal Alchemist. Or the kids from Neon Genesis Evangelion. All these larger than life characters that are so human. The women my daughters can look to. Wonder Woman, Lara Croft and Storm. There are so many you can’t name them all.

I love this crazy world of Fantasy and Science Fiction. The world that we live in is crazy enough. We all need a break every so often. And that is why I have decided to create this little blog. Who can say that they didn’t cry when William Wallce screamed freedom as he lay dying? Whose heart didn’t bleed when Obiwan had to cut down Anakin? Who didn’t fell satisfied when Red XIII and his cubs ran to the mountain, after the credits of Final Fantasy VII? This is what FHTI is all about. This is what heroes are all about.

There is one thing binds these individuals together. They do not stand for just themselves. Not just one person. Not just one people. Or one country. Or one time period. But they stand for all of us. For anyone who has felt oppression and sought freedom. For all those who can not stand for themselves. That is what these heroes are about. And that is what we have forgotten. Regardless of Race. Culture. Or Origin. Heroes were meant to inspire. To give hope. And to have us look into ourselves, to find some of that hero in us. The books we read. The films and TV shows we watch. The anime and cartoons we enjoy. The hero is all compassing. He/She can be anyone. Anything.  Heroes are about sacrifice. About the struggle. About redemption. The heroes journey is what we love. The places they go. The friends the meet. The enemies they vanquish. The power of a hero is not in what nationality he/she is. But what they stand for. And what they accomplish. Only when a hero doubts himself. Makes mistakes. Fails. Only then, when they overcome all that has pushed them down. After the Crucible. Only at the precipice, when all is lost does a hero; a man/woman truly become a hero. And when they have done the impossible time and again. That is what makes them an Icon.

I hope that you will continue this journey with us. There are so many stories to be told. And so many to share. Thank you all.

Special Thanks To JPCDezines for doing what no one else could or would do. Put up with me. LOL

Marvel looking for a new Bruce Banner

Marvel Studios has now confirmed that Edward Norton will not reprise his role in The Avengers, scheduled for release in the summer 2012.

Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige in a statement given to HitFix:
“We have made the decision to not bring Ed Norton back to portray the title role of Bruce Banner in the Avengers. Our decision is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members. The Avengers demands players who thrive working as part of an ensemble, as evidenced by Robert, Chris H, Chris E, Sam, Scarlett, and all of our talented casts. We are looking to announce a name actor who fulfills these requirements, and is passionate about the iconic role in the coming weeks.”

I sincerely wish marvel the best of luck in replacing the acting ability of Edward Norton. But if he was not into being part of the cast, I would rather he is replaced by someone who is a lesser talent but fully committed, than Norton phoning it in.

Some Of My Comic Picks for 07/08/10

Hey, everyone.  I had an awful big pile of DC comics this week, so I figure I’ll spare you and just let you know which ones I thought were definitely worth picking up.

To start off with, BATMAN AND ROBIN # 13 was awesome!  The number is very fitting.  I have to hand it to Morrison, as confused and frustrated (I’m being nice) as he has made me over the last few years it really has been paying off in this particular book. bandr It has definitely been new and exciting, and this month’s issue is no exception.  As you all know, Joker is back and has been taking care of business from behind the curtain (so to speak) since his departure.  Frazer Irving breathed a new kind of desperate insanity into his face that I’d call beautiful if it wasn’t so creepy.  For a second I thought about blowing up and framing a scene of him and Damian.  Between that and the cluster of chaotic events that are playing out, including the miraculous surfacing of “Thomas Wayne”, this one comic was nothing short of cinematic.  Ok, now that I’m done with the high praise, let’s hope this thing stays together at the seams.  I highly recommend it, but if you haven’t been reading you might be a bit lost.

RED ROBIN # 14 was an entertaining read.  Gotta love the beef between him and Damian;  mostly because we’d feel the same way in Tim’s combat boots.  Since the last issue, Red Robin revealed he had a no-holds-barred plan of action to systematically take down the crime scene in Gotham.  Well, this time around we find out it goes a little further…enough to make it awkward for some of the people he’s working with.  Also, more of that pesky Vicki Vale (hey, even superheroes can’t stand paparazzi).

RED HOOD: LOST DAYS #2 taught us a valuable lesson that should have followed through all the way to Damian; Batman would do well to have a strict mental/emotional screening process for all future Robins.  Jason grapples with the feelings of an ultimate betrayal (in his mind) by Bruce; not executing the Joker.  I know he died, but, personally, I’d set my sights on the person who killed me first before going after the guy who cared for me when noone else would (and I already knew had a strict moral code when it came to revenge-by-murder).  All-in-all I am interested in where this is going.  I like the incorporation of the Al Ghuls (even though I hoped they would have been the reason for his resurrection…c’mon), and I do feel for Jason.  That’s a pain not many can say they’ve felt and you can see it in the artwork.  I think it’s worth a shot, especially if you are a fan of Batman, or Winick for that matter.

Speaking of resurrecting and not feeling so hot, BRIGHTEST DAY #5 was  more of the same.  The two biggest things that happened this time around was the insanity in Hawkworld and a heartbreaking secret that could shake Aquaman to the core.  For some reason it feels the issues are either becoming faster reads or getting shorter.  No matter, I just want to know what this is leading up to and how it will shape the rest of the DCU.  How about you?

John Ostrander (SUICIDE SQUAD) spun a tale in SECRET SIX # 23 that brought the team to a secluded tropical island under false pretenses.  Waiting for them are a bunch of bored rich men who pay to hunt the most dangerous game.  Little do they know that they won’t be able to even bite off more than they can chew when they are missing their teeth (or their head for that matter).  Since this story takes place before the last few issues, we know everyone makes it out in one piece, but getting there is ALL the fun.  The issue was bloody, fast paced, and everything you’d expect from the SIX; even without Simone writing…ok, so it wasn’t as deviant as it could have been.  It was a good read, though.  Check it out.

That’s the end of my DC portion.  Now, I’d like to urge you to pick up the comic I enjoyed the most this week, next to (if not more than) BATMAN AND ROBIN. hb HELLBOY:  THE STORM #1, the final arc in Mike Mignola and Duncan Fegredo’s epic saga that includes DARKNESS CALLS and THE WILD HUNT, started out spectacular!  The story begins with bodies missing from the tombs of an old church in England.  Hellboy knows something is brewing.  He is accompanied by Alice, the baby he saved from the fairies decades prior, whom it would seem a  relationship has begun to blossom with.  The issue begins to replay all of the horrible things HB has gone through while trying to find himself after leaving the B.P.R.D.  It’s almost a Cliff Notes in the form of him venting to Alice; all of which feels to be leading up to something.  Then, all hell breaks loose!  Like BATMAN AND ROBIN, this book was extremely cinematic.  There is one panel that is probably up there with my favorite Hellboy moments to date.  At this point I don’t think anybody else could have taken over in the art department after Mignola, except for Fegredo. He’s so good that you’d almost swear Mike snuck a pencil in there at certain points.  The man is a wizard.  Even if you don’t want to read too far back at the moment, pick up the last two TPBs and start this while it’s hot off the press.  You can back track later on.  You will not be sorry. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; in my opinion, Mignola’s is the most consistently great writing in comics today.  He does not drop the ball.  End of story.  Also, cheers to John Arcudi and Guy Davis, who know how to keep us excited and entertained as well (and of course the ever-present, ever-amazing Dave Stewart)!  Look out for ABE SAPIEN: THE ABYSSAL PLAIN, on sale now, and B.P.R.D.: HELL ON EARTH: NEW WORLD which should be out next month.

Until later, catch you on the flipside–ExSleepyInk

Summer Glau To Be Supergirl in “Apocalypse”

Summer Glau (Firefly, Serenity, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dollhouse) is lending her voice to Supergirl in Warner Premiere’s Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, due for release September 28.
Fanboys will be happy to know that Tim Daly and Kevin Conroy will continue their long-standing roles as Superman and Batman, as they did in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.summer_glau_1 “I thought in the comic that Jeph Loeb had done a really good job of sticking to the basics of the origin story, but putting enough twists on it to give it a fresh feel,” stated producer Bruce Timm. “Early on in the story she just wants to fit in,” Timm says. “Unlike most people who suddenly attain superpowers, she’s terrified of them. She doesn’t want to shoot lasers out of her eyes and be able to lift buildings with her pinky.” This will be Glau’s first venture into animation, but she is said to be acclimating very well. “It was a fun part for her to play because it wasn’t one-note,” Timm says. “She could be young and bratty, like a typical teenager, and then show a little bit more maturity, then get feisty, then scared. She’s got quite a gamut of emotions to act out”. Fans of Bruce Timm’s widely popular animated DC sitcoms and films know that he has tapped into Joss Whedon’s Firefly cast before, using Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Gina Torres and Morena Baccarin.

In other random news, Mark Hamill has stated that his role in Arkham Asylum 2 will be much darker, comparing it in tone to Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker, and will also mark the end of his career as the clown prince of crime. Sigh. Let’s hope Conroy doesn’t follow suit.
In different Batman related matters, Robin Williams has stated his interest in playing the Riddler in the next film. In an interview he went on to say that he was the original choice for both the Joker in Tim Burton’s Batman(which was iconically played by Jack Nicholson) and the Riddler in Joel Shumacher’s Batman Forever(which was annoyingly played by Jim Carrey–seemingly channeling a more flamboyant Caesar Romero). He voiced the let-down of losing both roles, and that if someone’s going to offer him one again it better be for real. Perhaps he feels that since he has worked for Christopher Nolan previously in Insomnia that his is a shoe-in for the role. Ok, I for one have some news…You Are Too Old! Secondly, there are far bigger, better, more challenging characters to give creedance to before revisiting that old standby. I could see him as a copycat, or a thorn in Batman’s side as he attempts to deal with more pressing issues, but. that’s. it! Unless, we are making a Hush movie, then by all means, let the green clad buffoon have a ball; but for God’s sake put someone younger at bat…a dark horse. We need Daniel Day Lewis as a seriously chilling Victor Fries working with cryo and weather weapons, and if Nolan’s ending his saga, the return of Ra’s to take the city without questions (not before a meaningless love affair between Bruce and Talia). Don’t worry, I’m penning the story (laughs). Until next time.joker2–ExSleepyInk

Some Super Current DC Reviews and Play-by-play(Beware of Spoilers)

It was a big week at the shop for DC fans. I got a chance to pick up almost everything except Green Lantern Corps and a few others (but, nothing of consequence). Time to give you the lowdown on what I thought. I’d like to start with a title that I haven’t picked up in a good while, Superman. As you all know, the multi title spanning New Krypton saga has been going on for quite some time. supes Being that I’m first and foremost a Batman fan (which leaves me with more than my fair share of titles to pick up monthly) I wanted to wait out all the craziness in Metropolis and beyond until it died down and I could brush up, pick up one book, and move on. Well, yesterday was that time. The anniversary issue of Superman # 700 takes place directly after the 100 minute war, which involved an attack on New Krypton spurred on by General Lane (Lois’s dad) and an all-out assault on Earth led by Zod. In the end, only meaningless tragedy. The issue starts with a story in which James Robinson, who has been writing Superman for the last few years, caps off his run. Now, I really LOVED Robinson in his Starman days, but in reading Cry For Justice and the new Justice League books i felt he was all over the place sometimes. The whole ‘everybody finishing everybody elses sentences’ thing drove me crazy in the new JLA. There was none of that here. The story was simple, short, and meaningful. Although it did have a cameo by Parasite, it focused on Lois and Clarks reunion. The second piece, penned by Dan Jurgens, was a little peek into Superman’s past. This one was my favorite. Can you venture a guess why? It was also a look back into the early days of Batman and Robin. Again, it wasn’t anything crazy; it was to the point and it worked. The last of the three was a prologue into the next part of the Man Of Steel’s life. It also marked the handing over of the title to J. Michael Straczynski. Superman comes under fire for all of the recent world shaking events, and his allegiance to Earth is questioned, but nothing cuts him as deep as the heartbreak and rage directed at him by a stranger, that was all too human and, in the grand scheme, meant nothing to the universe. Here he will begin to question what is important and how he will choose to continue his mission. Judging by his decision to walk away at the end, I’m guessing that statement has something to do with his humanity. This story will be continued in ‘Grounded’.
Moving on, I would like to address Brightest Day and some of the new books that tie into it. Last week’s issue of Brightest Day#4 featured Black Lantern Firestorm on the cover. (Alert: Spoiler/Summaries Ahead) At this point we know that everyone resurrected at the end of Blackest Night came back tainted; haunted by something. For instance…while trying to rest after a party, Ron Raymond is startled by a visit from Gehenna, whom he transmuted into salt while he was a Black Lantern. As you know, she was the present Firestorm’s girlfriend and, even though Raymond was powerless under the sway of Nekron, Jason Rusch hasn’t come close to forgiving his once dead predecessor. In another neck of the woods, or sky, Hawkman and Hawkgirl have been led to an unearthly vortex constructed by their eternal enemybirds Hath-Set and powered by the bones of all of their previous lives. I don’t want to give away the decision they make at the gateway, but I think this might be one of the most exciting parts of the series. To conclude, after transporting virtually unseen from location to location (all pertaining to recent events) Boston Brand is finally seen, and assaulted by Hawk, when he appears in the room of a sleeping Dove. What will be Deadman’s new greater purpose? Will he be able to hone the amazing and mysterious power of the white ring? Because it looks as if Hank Hall will be pissed if he doesn’t figure it out soon. It’s been a fairly easy read, especially if you’ve read everything up to it.
Let’s move on to the new titles that tie in.
Birds Of Prey #1 and 2, written by fan favorite Gail Simone and drawn by Ed Benes, deals out some hard justice. After stopping terrorists in eastern Europe, Black Canary and the birds are pulled back to the US where they are faced with not only the threat of a new adversary, the White Canary, but what also seems to be a planned systematic weakening of their infrastructure. Someone wants to take them apart in the worst way. Dinah is the first targetted. As if it’s not enough that she is under fire for her actions over seas, someone has managed to find out her identity and place of business. Now, not only is it all over the news, but so is the live feed of her and the team fighting to escape the swarms of police. Authorities have also connected her to disgraced and banished ex-mayor Oliver Queen (Green Arrow). Things are looking bad. Was Penguin a mere wounded hostage or is he playing a part in luring them into this trap? With all of this in only two issues, crazy is not the word I’m looking for. If nothing this will most assuredly force her back into her bad@$$ background. Even though I’m not so sure I agree with the short fused, and male, Hawk being on the team (keeping with the bird theme?), you should definitely check it out.
Next up is the all new Green Arrow#1. Written by J.T. Krul, with art by Neves and Cifuentes, this new era for Oliver Queen, and Star City, looks to have the potential to be one of the best reads in DC if the creative team’s course stays true. After the destruction of the city by Prometheus and the Electrocutioner, a giant, mystical, star-shaped forest rose in it’s epicenter due to events of Brightest Day. Now, deserted by Dinah, publicly unmasked, and tried for killing one of the villains who murdered his granddaughter along with most of his beloved city, Oliver is banished. greenWhat place would be more ideal to retreat to and set up base for a modern day Robin Hood than a deep enchanted forest? This is his domain now; where he can use all the instinct and experience that first turned him into the hero he has become. He has nothing left to lose and noone to prove anything to. With no rules to follow, except for his own personal code of ethics, God help anyone who stumbles under the canopy with bad intentions. It seems they are serving an homage to Mike Grell’s Longbow Hunters in the main DC continuity. The first issue plays out quite like you’d expect or want; stealing from the rich, giving to the poor, and saving those weak who are prayed upon. It looks as if they are setting up an evil empire being that an ominous and mysterious figure has taken control of Queen Industries. I am digging where this is headed, I just wish they wouldn’t have done away with a key antagonist in the first issue. I would have liked to see the persons demise to be more eventful and ironic. I do very much like how he has a perfect vantage point right in the middle of the city he was thrown out of. He can easily deal with business and just as quickly disapear back into the foliage. All in all, I recommend you pick this up for yourself.  As if the beautifully done cover by Mauro Cascioli (Justice League: Cry For Justice) isn’t enough to draw you in.
The fourth and latest installment of Justice League: Generation Lost , by Winick and Giffen, has the former JLI still on the run and engaged in battle with Russia’s Rocket Red Brigade. In flies the new Rocket Red, Gavril. The guy’s a Chatty Cathy and seems to think he’s suddenly part of the team. Someone’s pulling everything together. We all know who that is, and at the end of the issue he finally makes contact with everyone. The book was fast paced, but it didn’t draw me in like previous issues; it kind of felt more like filler. Still a good series so far, and I’m hoping for something huge and messed up to come, involving their former “leader”.
That concludes the Brightest Day segment for this week, kiddies.
Justice League: The Rise Of Arsenal came to a close this week. All I’ll say is that Roy got what he wanted in the end. There was a good fight between him and his mentor before he reached his goal, after which all Oliver could do was look on in horror. These things happen, I suppose. Judging by the shape of things, I wouldn’t be surprised about an Arsenal/Red Hood team up. Two former proteges unhappy with the status quo, walking the razor’s edge of sanity, and thirsty for blood (pretend i said that in a gravely, pulply, coming attractions voice…no? ok…). I could think of a few more people they could throw in there. Make it happen DC!zatanna
I most certainly don’t need to be buying anymore books than I already am, but being that I have a soft spot for Paul Dini, I picked up Zatanna#1 and 2. I really like the artist Stephanie Roux and her inker Karl story. I feel they have a real command over the characters. Even the colorist is doing a great job. The mistress of magic now has her own connect on the police force, Detective Dale Colton, and Brother Night, who is making a play as her arch-nemesis, plans on taking control of the San Francisco underworld (mystical and crime alike). Night is drawn flawlessly. I have to say that one of the reasons I will continue to read, for now, is that the layout of the pages, the vivid drawings, and even the eccentric characters remind me of Tony Harris and Wade Von Grawbadger’s work on Starman, and the cast of players Jack Knight came in contact with. Maybe it’s just me. At any rate, it’s a thumbs up.
When it comes to the new Legion Of Super-Heroes run by Paul Levitz I have to say that I’m sort of in the dark. Being as I was never really a fan, it is hard to suddenly be thrown in; especially given the amount of characters and their crazy names. For a guy like me it is mind-overload. I’ve been able to piece things together here and there from what i’ve read in other books (or their appearances in the JLU cartoon). I’m gonna give it a few more issues to see if it draws me in. I did like the fiery hand at the beginning of time in the first issue. I assume it’s the same one that writes on the source wall. I also like the little connections to present day. Wish I had more to say, but I’m sure diehard fans are in hog heaven.
Finally, on to the Bat books.
I suppose I will start with the title I am least interested in at the moment, Azrael. I only say that because for some reason or another it feels somewhat repetitive (and, I wish I didn’t feel that way because Michael Lane has the potential to be such a cool character). In this last issue he has help from the White Ghost to defeat the Seven Deadly Sins who had begun to indoctrinate him into being the eighth (we all know how fragile Michael’s mind is). It is written by Fabian Nicieza with art by Ramon Bachs.
Batman:The Return Of Bruce Wayne#3 sees Bruce in the clutches of Blackbeard. Two famous DC period characters make appearances as well; the one at the end being the most exciting for my money. I don’t want to spoil him for you. detecBruce is starting to use his cunning, piece things together, and leave himself clues. I can say I understand most of it, but i wish it was a little more straight forward after the last few years. You be the judge.
In Batman: Streets of Gotham#13 Paul Dini concluded The Carpenter’s Tale, in which a new villain The Director wanted Jenna Duffy to build a set full of traps for which he could film Batman’s demise. We can guess how it played out for everyone who wasn’t Batman. The Manhunter second feature pitted Kate in her final confrontation with Jane Doe. Both stories were not a bad read at all.
Legendary writer Dennis O’Neil was back to Batman in Detective Comics#866. With the help of Dustin Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs, he told the tale of a man who was wrongly imprisoned for a crime the Joker had committed years earlier. Of course it involved the theft of a relic from the Order of St. Dumas (O’Neil did help to create Azrael). Now in the cape and cowl of his former mentor, Dick strives to give the once framed man he remembers from his youth, who is newly released and infirm, some solace by bringing closure to the case. But, as shown in the last Batman and Robin , The Joker is back in action. How will this play out? You will have to find out for yourself. The issue features an awesome flashback interlude of a more cartoonish nature that to me, having seen him draw at the Comic Con, looks more the style of Fridolfs than it does Nguyen. Great issue. Definitely pick it up.
Well, it looks like it’s about that time again. I’ve said too much. I’m tired and I have writer’s remorse, so it’s best if I don’t edit right now. Next time you read this it will probably look completely different. Go go Gadget blog! I hope this was informative, and for you Marvel fans, I hope I filled you in on what’s going on in our world. Maybe I should start reviewing after a run is done, sooner or later. That way there would be less writing, less spoiler alerts, and it would take me out of the running as the wordy John Madden of comic enthusiasts…of…the…year? Wait, what?! Who am I kidding? Until next time. Read on!joker1–ExSleepyInk

Portal 2 Teaser

Fans of puzzles, Sci-fi, action, first person shooters, dry comedy, and creepy little turret robots…has Valve got a treat for you. For anyone who didn’t play the first Portal, which came on the phenomenal Orange Box (that housed all three HalfLife2 episodes, Portal, and Team Fortress 2), you don’t know what you are missing. Do yourself a favor and pick up Valves previous ‘deal of the decade’ and brush up on what it’s like to be a test subject for Arpeture Science. You’ll find that being a guinea pig in a maze tends to be a lot funner/easier when you have a gun that creates portals. The second installment is also now boasting some cooperative play. Awesome! Although it doesn’t show much, this trailer really hyped me up! If you played it you know what I’m talking about. And, if you haven’t yet…you will!

E3 2010: Parasite Eve The 3rd Birthday For PSP

Parasite Eve was a hit on the original PlayStation. And has been absent for quite a while. We are very glad to see that Square Enix hasn’t forgotten her. And brought her back on the PSP. Take a look at this trailer and pics.
