Hakan is a Turkish  wrestler. His weird looks are just the beginning. I do like the hair though. No matter how odd nothing can be worse than El Fuerta.  It’s just good to see Capcom pulling out the stops. It would have been cool to see  Lee of Eagle from the original Street Fighter.  Wow throw back. Check out these trailers. It’s hilarious

With the console war in full swing the only thing that can really distinguish one console from the other are the exclusives that each console holds. Since the word EXCLUSIVE has become kind of elusive gamers are finding it hard to tell what system is actually better. Or even which one to keep or throw away.

Personally I love my PS3. Xbox 360 has it’s place in my home. Just not a big one. I have a family and I like a machine that can multitask. Got that from my wife. Playing video games on or off line. “It’s Free”. great bluray movies nice old school downloads. And the ability to play Divx movies. I won’t say too much about those Divx movies, but it’s a really beautiful thing once you learn all about it. Your girlfriend and all your friends will love it. And your Xbox buddies will hate you. Hey…you can’t win them all?! Right?!

From October ‘09 up until now Sony has really proven themselves in returning to the video game exclusive arena. Ratchet and Clank Future:ACIT, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, and the very soon to be released God of War 3. Each of the titles are a great representation of what Sony is offering. The games are continually getting better to play. Better looking. And they have a reasonable amount of playing time. Comparing Resistance 2 with Gears of War 2. Any real gamer could tell you the difference in the single player campaign is vast. Resistance offers a much more engrossing story that lends to a longer and more satisfying game. Not everyone is playing just for the online game play. Regardless of how many that are, we as gamers still want a single player campaign. The bluray discs allows Sony to create games that offer both a well made single player game experience as well as a great online experience. And as time goes on this is only being proved more and more.

Just what exactly is Sony going to be offering in the future to keep it’s fans interested in the system? And how will they try to lasso new gamers in? Just this pass week Socom 4 was announced. Made by Zipper Interactive. the original creators of Socom. The screen shots are gorgeous. Just what you can expect from Sony. Zipper is offering both an Awesome single and multiplayer mode. And as of now it is looking at a 2010 release. Already there is talk of what Sony may be bringing to the table at E3 this year. Of course ModNation Racers is in the line up. The Little Big Planet type racer will no doubt grab the attention of many gamers. For those that enjoyed LBP and those that love racing games. Gran Turismo 5 will also be hitting shelves this year. We can all only guess what else is on the table. Everyone is probably looking to here their own favorite getting a sequel. Maybe it might be Infamous 2. The original was one of the best open world games ever. Do you have a PS3? The trust me. These games I am speaking about need to be at least rented for no less that two weeks. Someone may have Killzone 3 in mind. ME?! I’m looking to hear from Insomniac. There is no sequel that I am anticipating more than Resistance 3. To me this game is a First Person Shooter to rival Modern Warfare. Don’t believe do you?! That’s cool. Never expected you to. But as far as shooters go. This truly is a great one. Love Sci Fi? Love Shooters? Then nothing beats Resistance. Trust and believe. As I always say,” Buy it. Play it. Love it.”

This is just the tip of the ice berg. Titles and sequels that we all could have foreseen. What about the titles that you know Sony has close to the vest. The unannounced titles. Truth be told, Sony does need one big sequel or do over. And that is Heavenly Sword. A beautiful game that just fell short of being great by a year or so of much needed development. this game was being heralded as the Goddess of War. Well we all found out that wasn’t true. No block or jump buttons. the lack of any platforming what so ever. And a story that seemed unfinished. Heavenly Sword could have been a jewel for Sony. Ninja Theory should go back and do it over. Broader landscapes. More in depth story. And don’t forget the jump and block buttons. With Kratos probably being put to pasture for a while Nariko could take his place, only if crafted by the hands of a Master.Just think of a cross between the Prince of Persia and God of War and you get only the beginnings of what Heavenly Sword could really become.

The Game Developers Conference is coming up. Maybe Sony will have a surprise for us. If not, we can wait. The possibilities are endless. there are so many games from the PlayStation brand that could be remade or reinvigorated. And you know that have a ton of new IP’s getting ready to debut. Everyone and their grandma wants to see a Final Fantasy Remake. And that is only the beginning of a very long list. And yes I purposely left out one very special game. These types of games are made for very special people. And not very often do EVER get a particular title such as this. We know it will make waves at E3. And it will probably come out this year. “We Hope”. The game I’m referring to is The Last Guardian. Team Ico will give us something to hope in. To dream for . And maybe even cry about. Sony I believe is just getting started.

After Square Enix bought Edios I really thought new life would be breathed into the Tomb Raider franchise. This downloadable game is not like anything Tomb Raider fans will be used to. Although it is a good idea to see how gamers react to a new way of Tomb Raiding before throwing really big bucks onto a super hi def game. The name change is also a smart move. Everyone knows Lara Croft is Tomb Raider. Naming the game Lara Croft and “whatever” is just one way to add spice to this franchise. But really, the title Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light should have been saved for the newest next gen game, not a downloadable. But who am I?! Just some blogger with too much time on his hands. Check out these first pics.  Really impressive for a downloadable game. But I’d love to see Tomb Raider Uncharted style. Wouldn’t you?!

Not bad. But not what I expected. Maybe more next week.

Tonight on Gametrailers TV the first trailer for Sony’s exclusive military shooter, Socom 4 will be shown. But right now we have some pics for you to look at.

Zipper interactive has returned to the series . They were responsible for Socom 1-3, and Combined Assault on the PS2. The game itself will feature a 32 player multiplayer mode as well as a 14 mission single player campaign. And that will clock in at 12 hours. Pretty good for a shooter. These Pics are FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven’t been a fan of Nintendo for a while. Their whole casual gaming theme has me not looking for anything great from them. Truly though I have been impressed with what the are aiming at for 2010. With Metriod Other M coming out this summer. And even the hope of another Zelda game. It seems that they haven’t completely forgotten the hardcore gamers. Games such as this always remind you why you started playing video games in the first place. Well it’s finally time for me to buy that Wii. Super Mario Galaxy will be released on May 23, 2010.

Platinum Games next endeavor is a third person shooter. From the guys that brought us Bayonetta. Here is a first look at Vanquish. Hopefully this game will turn out to be great. From the pics it looks to have elements of hiding behind cover, sprinting.  And Hand to hand combat. Nothing more on the story yet. Gears of War meets Crysis?!? We can only hope.

Are you a fan of Greek mythology? Did you enjoy Troy or 300? And do you play video games? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then God of War 3 is just what the doctor ordered.

This first video features Kratos battling Poseidon atop Gaia. If this is what we are to expect from this game. I can tell you there has been NO GAME like this. The cinematic action of this title just astounds. Kratos is brutal, yes. But you are made into a true action hero for what seems like the very first time. Yes this is a spoiler. Turn away now if you don’t want to see this. But I recommend that you do. Nearly nine minutes long.

Not too long ago I posted an article for the top three killing machines of 2010. The antagonist for the Lord of Shadows was not on that list. Well maybe he should have. Or we’ll just have to have another list for the second half of 2010. The more I see of this game the more I’m convinced that Kojima has the Midas touch. Can’t wait for another trailer.
