The Walt Disney company has acquired Marvel Entertainment for $4 million. Everyone is jumping over all the stocks and technical aspects of the deal. But at the end of the day we want to know about the entertainment that Marvel/Disney will produce. This venture will no doubt bring about a very big, very wonderful change for both companies. With Disney’s Pixar Films you can look for some fantastic CGI films of the Marvel characters. Even though Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Dare Devil still belong to their respective companies, the stock of characters is tremendous. The possibilities are endless. And how knows. With Disney in  control other companies such as Sony and Fox may want some of that action. We’ll see.

Marvel has had a great run with the new cartoons that they have produced. Wolverine and the X-Men, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Iron Man Armored Adventures, and the forth coming Marvel Super Hero Squad. Disney will definitely back those. And hopefully we’ll get a third season of Spectacular Spider-Man. There is no telling what cartoons, movies, or live action TV shows will come from this. But it will be nice to see what Disney will do with Marvels vault of super heroes. I want to see a Black Panther live action film Pirates of the Caribbean style. An X-Force movie, and The New Warriors.

Also video games are a big part of  entertainment. Disney may not have created a stable of titles as Marvel has. But they along with Square Enix have created the most popular cross over  series since Marvel vs Capcom. The Kingdom Hearts series brought the world of Final Fantasy together with Disney creating an experience that has yet to be topped. Think of what that can be with Marvel characters combined with Final Fantasy. Hey They belong to Disney now.  A Spider-Man game that played as good and looked as good as Arkham Asylum. A Marvel online game is logical. Whatever these two giants become. And whatever they create together. We will surely reap the benefits of this ultimate alliance. And it would probably look a little like this………………
