Heroes Season 4 Episode 4 “Acceptance” Review

Season 4 of Heroes began as if they were back on track.  I have no idea what they were thinking with this episode. As a whole it really kind of sucked. The story where our heroes come to accept their fates and face the only future that is right for them is awesome in itself. When you water it down and take 40 minutes just for them to realize this you waste the time of the viewer. So many people were pissed off at how long the story took to actually say and do something. With that there were a few things that did entertain.

First we have Hiro whose story to forever to show some fruit. When he finally gives in and says it’s time for acceptance, it was very touching. And you could see the strength of character in him again. It just took too long for him to do it. Or maybe the whole saving the suicide guy was boring.

Nathans “awakening”, was a bit tasteless, since it was Sylar’s power doing all the work anyway. I’m glad that he’s really dead now. And Angela Petrelli has friends just as evil as she is. Sylar is back. But of course is doesn’t know who he is. That is a bad thing. Guess we’ll have to see how that plays out.

Tracey Strauss had a bland story and also took the entire episode for her to see the light. In a very corny way. HRG should have had a bigger role in the story. Focusing on him getting back to his old self. Not with just a few pictures on the wall. A picture of Peter, Nathan, and Sylar should have been on the wall. A map. And maybe some unknown people to us. These people could be candidates for Peter to absorb their power. It’s the only way to stop Sylar.

All in all “Acceptance” wasn’t very acceptable. These writers need to start watching other shows. And learn how to hold the interest of the viewers. If not this may be the end of Heroes.
