Post E3
The E3 is over. But there is still so much to see and experience. All of the conferences were enjoyable. Sony didn’t surprise really, but they showed they are coming hard to all gamers. Microsoft had a very nice lineup for this year and dazzled everyone with Project Natal. Nintendo brought us new things from old favorites. And that truly made us happy with them. Here are some things that weren’t posted and needed to be shown. Get your Christmas money and list ready it’s going to a great year for gamers.
E3 Extras:
Castlevania: Lords of Darkness: This is going to be a true joy to ply. It looks like a cross between God of War and Devil May Cry. Hideo Kojima has out done himself. A jewel among others to whip, jump and slash their way into 2010.
Square Enix Nier: Coming from a company that specializes in RPG’s Nier is shaping up to be quite the action game. Not much is know about the game play. Although it resemble various other Action adventure games. Maybe Square Enix has something brnd new from the masters of RPG’s.
Project Natal: Words can not even begin to describe what Microsoft has created. It seems very cool to me although I have no idea how long I’d be able to stand in front of the TV. How would you like to stand for six hours playing a fully interactive RPG. Glorious fun, but very exhausting.
And don’t forget that both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have extensive coverage of E3. Down load or stream at your convenience.
An Early Gamers Christmas list: With the economy steadily going down and costing sixty dollars or more a piece, we all may be looking to get most of these as gifts.

The E3 Continues
The conferences are over but there is so much to witness from E3. First I think I’ll go through the games that will be on both systems. Then just go down the line with everything else.
Darksiders: This game was brought to us from the mind of Joe Madureira. The creator of Battle Chasers. I don’t think it matters which system you play it on. It’s more of a preference. Releases 1/1/2010
E3 Microsoft Conference
Today Microsoft, the leader in the gaming war will unveil all the exciting news pertaining to new releases, Down Loadable Content(DLC), Game trailers, and release dates. Stay tuned for more through the course of the day.
WOW!!!!!!!! I just finished watching the Microsoft conference. It blew me away. Never would have I, in my wildest dreams thought they had a line up such as this. I’ll get the plain stuff out of the way first.
Beatles Rockband: Releases on 9/9/09
Tony Hawk Ride: Uses a cool new skate board accessory
COD Modern Warfare: The demo was great. Rock climbing, a snow blinding fire fight, and a shoot out in snow mobiles. Releases 11/10/09
Final Fantasy XIII: This bit of news still has my pantie in a bunch. And this just made it worse. Live game play for the 360 was shown with more fighting options and the first summon. Odin. And it was all in English. Releases Spring 2010.
Xbox 360 Exclusives:
Shadow Complex: Side scrolling action game. Releases this summer.
JoyRide: Releases Winter 09
Crackdown 2: releases TBD
Left For Dead 2: Do we love too kill zombies with our friends? Yes we do!!!! Releases 11/17/09
Splinter Cell Conviction: Make no mistake this is one of the reasons I’m glad to own a Xbox 360. Tom Fisher is the man. And now he’s acting a little like Liam Neesons character in Taken. Just cooler.
Halo 3 ODST: The sci fi first person shooter that made Microsoft returns. This is a prequel to Halo 3. And is sure to satisfy all those who were looking some more FPS action. Releases 9/22/09
Halo: Reach: Releases Fall 2010
Alan Wake: One of the most anticipated games for years. We finally get a look at this action thriller. Alan.. Wake Up!!

Microsoft kicked butt. The gaming industry is booming. I really thought Sony had an advantage. But it looks like Microsoft is still throwing knock out blows. Tomorrow Nintendo and Sony are really going to have to go the extra mile. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Most Anticipated of E3
The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is next week and gamers are clamoring to see what will be unveiled. Here are top ten most anticipated games of the show. And we can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for us.
10. Nintendo Announcement
There can be no guessing as to what exactly is going to be shown by these guys. aside from shoving everything DS down our throats, they haven’t been to impressive. No doubt (hopefully) it will be one of the big franchises. Either Zelda or Mario would be a treat. Both would be better.

9. Bayonetta
From the creators of Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, and Okami comes the the next high octane action game. This game is looking like it will be a smash. With a female lead, all the cool moves that even Dante would envy, and giant demon monsters, Bayonetta will be the yin to Devil May Cry’s yang. May it be saved the disgrace that Heavenly Sword did by being named the Goddess of War.

8. Kojima Productions Announcement
E3 will be a buzz with what Hideo Kojima has to say concerning the next phase of the Metal Gear franchise. As of now all we have to go on is the counter and the image of Big Boss. And knowing how Kojima operates it will be a nice surprise.

7. Ratchet and Clank Future a Crack in Time
This series has to be the biggest sleeper EVER. In all my gaming years I’ve never seen a game so ignored. One of the best platform games out there. I would as far to say it’s like Super Mario with guns and space ships. Two lovable characters, great settings, and awesome stories. Nothing beats this PS3 exclusive in the platforming/ action genre. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to soon see a CGI film of Ratchet and Clank.

6. Bioshock 2
When we first we first visited Rapture, there was a sense of awe and fear. As our powers grew with the mystery of Little Sisters, Big Daddies, and Adam all we wanted to do was see what be next. Returning to the underwater utopia turned hell, puts us in a different perspective. Now we play play as not just a Big Daddy, but the First Big Daddy. Dual wielding weapons and plasmids. Another engrossing story and the arrival of the Big Sister. Rapture isn’t what it used to be.

5. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Everybody and there mother is waiting on more info from this FPS. With new game play environments, such as frozen terrains, and underwater battles. We all know whats in the minds of every player. What are they adding to to the online play? E3 will have all that and probably whats in store for Modern Ware 2 DLC.

4. Assassin Creed 2
Altair is no longer with us but the Creed is still the same. Find your target and give it” The Long Kiss Goodnight”.I had to use that. Anyway, this time around we see our quasi hero “Ezio” in Italy during the renaissance. The game bolsters new moves, weapons, and more variation in the enemy classes. You can now swim, making a nice addition to how to assassinate targets. And it seems that your character has some connection with Leonardo da Vinci. The story is years after the Crusades in which Altair fought, but the story continues on. What is Ezios’ connection to Alair? And what had become of Alair and the artifact he possessed at the end of the first game. Also, what of the writing on the wall. A lot of it was in some sort of oriental dialect. Will the story surrounding that be told? Let us see what the Creed has in store.

3.Uncharted 2 Among Thieves
Uncharted Drakes Fortune was and still is one of the reasons to have a PS3. This action adventure game, with it’s cool Indiana Jones type character Nate Drake made Lara Croft feel like a red headed step child. Uncharted had all the aspects that made Tomb Raider great, and took it to the next level. Naughty Dog, the guys behind Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter came up with a PlayStation exclusive to hurt Microsoft’s feelings. Every character in the game was right out of a movie. A witty story if not too deep. The controls were near perfect, with a excellent cover system. And the graphics……well that is what the PS3 is made for. Among Thieves looks to be all that and more. Drake has a new partner. The environments look amazing. And I believe 3 player co-op. On top of that. we’re given our first taste of Uncharted multilayer. All this only on Playstaion3.

3. God of War
Greek mythology. The Spartans. And Kratos. For too long have the fans of the God of War series waited to witness the final, furious revenge of the Ghost of Sparta. Hopefully this year will Kratos come to the next generation. I believe a new trailer and demo will debut at E3. Along with that, the release date of God of War 3 should be announced. We all have our fingers crossed for holiday times this year. In the latest trailer Kratos said “I fear nothing”, “I hope for nothing”. Well I surely do hope this fantastic epic reaches our homes this year. Or I fear that Sony will give up what edge they have of catching and matching Microsoft. May the irate, bastard son of Zeus at last have his revenge.

2. Final Fantasy Nova Crystallis
The most celebrated role playing game franchise ever has a new compilation. It features three games brought over three platforms. Final Fantasy XIII for PS3, and Xbox360. Final Fantasy Verses XIII exclusively for the PS3. And Final Fantasy Agito XIII for the PSP. All of these titles are highly anticipated. But very little has been shown for any of them except FF XIII, due this Christmas in Japan. The demo of FF XIII caused PlayStation 3 sales to jump 233% in Japan. That alone shows how popular these game are. Epic proportions isn’t even enough to describe what type of event Final Fantasy is. As RPG go SquareEnix delivers on a scope beyond what most gamers can withstand in a single game. whatever the have planed will amazing. As long as they stop throwing all the bones to Microsoft. Trailers, more game play, and release dates for any or all of the titles would be welcome.

1. The Surprises
With all the events unfolding in the next week, you would think that was all. Shame on you!!! Microsoft has not shown any of their hand. A heck of a poker face they’re putting on. You know they have to have a wild card hidden. Something similar to the Final Fantasy XIII announcement last year. Capcom went berserk this year with releases that shook up the industry. And I doubt they’ll let their fire dwindle even a little. Will Sony Reveal a new psp? I really would like to see some remakes. Shinobi needs a reboot. Something along the lines of Prince of Persia meets God of War. And Strider and Breath of Fire would be nice to see. There are stirrings at SquareEnix of a new game. Also, Insomniac has a new game also in the works. Thihs will definately be an E3 to remember
