SEGA and Platinum Games announced today that their highly anticipated shooters Vanquish will get a demo. So mark your calendars, on August 31 it hits PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

Entitled Velocity Attack, the demo takes place on a Russian space station where players will take on waves of killer robots, have the chance to hijack the Walker mech and battle against the boss Argus. Players will also be able to play on the normal or casual difficulty.

Vanquish will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It hits stores on Oct 19, 2010.

October is just getting better and better. And it has nothing to do with Halloween. Vanquish is set to mark an all new standard in action shooters. It keeps getting better……………….

Finally we have a trailer to go with all those wonderful screen shots we’ve seen. And WOW!!!!! Platinum Games have really done it. Witness what will no doubt become one of the best action games ever. Devil May Cry meets Gears of War on steroids. Buy it. Play it. Love it.

I wasn’t overly impressed with Bayonetta. But it looks as if Platinum Games is going with a style of game that I can relate to. Just from the pics i get a vibe of Gears of War meets Devil May Cry. An amalgam of Shooting, taking cover and over the top hand to hand moves. I can’t wait to see this title in action. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long at all.
